ProjectionVR v3.3.1 - Released: 07 August 2009 ================================================= Installation notes ---------------------- If installing for the first time or to update v3.3.0, just run installer. Otherwise it is recommended that previous versions of ProjectionVR should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted. For completeness it is recommended that any remaining related "Start Menu" items are also manually deleted. Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.3.0 -------------------- Increase size of "licensee" field on registration dialog Replace the graphic for the cassette front ProjectionVR v3.3.0 - Released: 01 July 2009 ================================================= Installation notes ---------------------- Due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of ProjectionVR should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted. For completeness it is recommended that any remaining related "Start Menu" items are also manually deleted. Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.2.0 -------------------- Improved user interface. The major focus of this release is to make user interactions with objects in the virtual x-ray room more intuitive. Individual objects can now be selected and drag using the left mouse-button. Adjustments to the selected object can be made using the mouse scroll-wheel, where applicable. Optional, on-screen context sensitive help is available for all interactions saving the need to memorise individual actions. Feedback is provided for interactions via the highlighting of the selected object, and by context sensitive cursor icons. Localization for the United States. When run on a machine using the "English (United States)" regional setting, measurements will be reported in inches and the available cassettes will reflect those in common usage in the U.S. Module Consolidation. The "Patient Recumbent (supine)" and "Patient Erect" modules previous both had two variants using different underling patient data. i.e. full body and partial body. These two variants have been merged in to a single application and can be accessed by altering the pose of the patient New Module. A "trolley trauma" module in now available. Minor Improvements Included in this release + The "Light Box Diaphragm" can now be rotated + Visible size of cassettes increase as per reality. Previously these were shown as being equal to their plate size. Also the maximum image is now slightly smaller than the quoted size to reflect the fact that the whole area is not available for image acquisition. + Amendment to underlying data, the forearms and hands have been removed from the data allowing realistic radiographic examination of the pelvis, hip and abdomen + Add scroll-wheel emulation for pointing devices without scroll-wheel ProjectionVR v3.2.0 - Released: 12 Feb 2009 =========================================== Installation notes ---------------------- Due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of ProjectionVR should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted. For completeness it is recommended that any remaining related "Start Menu" items are also manually deleted. Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.1.10 -------------------- Improved Patient models that better match the underlying radiographic data Pixel resolution of the simulated radiograph now defaults to 1024 x 1024. If this change increase image generation time to an unacceptable level, please contact support@shaderware.com for instructions detailing how to revert to previous resoultion. Removal of unrealistic cassette type. ProjectionVR v3.1.10 - Released: 07 Dec 2008 ============================================ Installation notes ---------------------- Due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of ProjectionVR should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted. For completeness it is recommended that any remaining related "Start Menu" items are also manually deleted. Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.1.9 -------------------- Upgraded Build environment to Visual Studio 2008, WindowsSDK, and DXSDK August 2008 Remove the "Lecturer's Demo Tool" as it is now a separate module Fix error on Radeon X1400 and x1600 GPU's. Application uses Shader Model 2.0 algorithm as SM3 doesn't work correctly on these processors. Fix error in data that produced artifacts. This was especially noticeable on a LR view of the skull. ProjectionVR v3.1.9 - Released: 31st October 2008 ================================================= Installation notes ------------------ Due to the changes in the licensing software, it will be necessary to re-input license details. Until this is done, the software will revert to the fully functional evaluation mode and the user will have 15 days to re-input the license key details. If upgrading from releases prior to v3.1.8, then due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of virtual radiography should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted . Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.1.8 -------------------- Change to DRR image density calculation based on specified technical factors. Modify the size of the incremental steps for the tube charge (mAs) setting. New steps are based on increments found on real world machines. Fix problem introduced during SM3 mod. If no part of the subject is in the path of the x-ray beam (because the patient was hidden, or the tube just pointed away) then a problem occurred. If it was the first exposure an error would be triggered as pointers to render surface were null. If it was a second or subsequent exposure the previous image was displayed. Addressed problem with licensing software cause by change for Vista. Made change to internal selection of DRR generation algorithm to work round issue with Nvidia GeForce 6000 series GPUs and shader model V3.0. The software will, by default choose to use the highest version supported. This can now be over-ridden in the configuration file. ProjectionVR v3.1.8 - Released: 07 October 2008 =============================================== Installation notes ------------------ In order to more readily distinguish this suite of programs from the other "virtual radiography" modules, the name "ProjectionVR" has been adopted internally. This will be seen in naming of the new directory structure and some file names but the software has not changed. Due to internal changes to the installation directory structure it is recommended that previous versions of virtual radiography should be completely uninstalled and if not automatically removed by the uninstall process, the installation directory should be manually deleted . Product registration will NOT be affected by this. Changes since v3.1.7 -------------------- Metrics and images no longer saved to installation directory. Default location is "My Documents\shaderware\ProjectionVR". This can be customised via the config file. Contact shaderware if you require this option. Change to license key processing to avoid a Vista UAC issue that required the application to be run in compatibility mode with the "run as administrator" option selected. Changes to "digitally Reconstructed Radiograph" image generation algorithm to overcome image quality issues encountered with Nvidia GeForce 8000 & 9000 graphics cards. Also fixes similar problem encountered with some ATI HD2400Pro cards. Fix an inconsistency in the default size of the "lightbox" window for module 00100310 (recumbent, full body)
